Terms of use · Effective August 28, 2026
Use it. Inspect it. Keep the raw copy.
These terms govern the Proper Noun Lexicon website, browser review desk, and CLI. By using the product, you agree to these terms.
The product
The product imports user-approved vocabulary, produces speech-engine phrase hints, and replaces explicit aliases in text. It does not transcribe audio, train a speech model, or guarantee transcription accuracy. Review corrected output before using it for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other consequential work.
Free and permanent access
The free browser workspace supports up to 25 terms and includes exports, audits, and rollback. A $29 one-time purchase unlocks unlimited terms on your own devices. It is not a subscription. Sociobot/Dodo is the merchant of record and handles checkout and refunds. A refund revokes the license automatically.
Your content
You keep all rights to your vocabulary and transcripts. You are responsible for having permission to process them and for protecting files exported to your device. Do not share private terms or license tokens in public support channels.
License and acceptable use
The source code is available under the MIT License. A purchased license is for the buyer’s own devices and may not be resold, shared publicly, or used to bypass access controls. Do not use the hosted service to interfere with billing verification or other users.
Warranty and liability
The software is provided “as is,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the extent allowed by law, the maintainers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from its use.
Changes
Material changes will be published on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
